Dear Members of the Public,
We hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. We write to assure you that the Ogbomoso Youth for Good Governance Movement (OYFGG) has not remained silent nor abandoned the pursuit of justice regarding the brutal incident that occurred on the Lautech Ogbomoso campus.
On the night of April 22, 2024, Mr. Saheed, also known as Saheed Sarz, engaged in reckless behavior that tragically resulted in the injury and loss of life of multiple individuals. This incident, coupled with Mr. Saheed’s suspected involvement in criminal activities during the EndSars Protest in 2021, has deeply disturbed our community.
In response to our call for justice, we are pleased to inform you that the National Human Rights Commission has acknowledged our complaint. The Commission has registered our concerns and is actively monitoring the ongoing investigation at the Oyo State Police Command, State CID Iyangaku. The authorities have assured us that the investigation is progressing, and updates will be provided in due course.
OYFGG remains steadfast in our commitment to seeking justice for the victims and their families. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that those responsible for this heinous act are held accountable. Our resolve to promote good governance and safeguard the rights and well-being of our community members is unwavering.
We appreciate your continued support and solidarity as we strive for a safer and more just society. Together, we will keep fighting for the truth and ensuring that such tragedies are not repeated.
